    Default Building More Structure

What do you guys think about these Plastic Pipe Condos? They're about 5 feet tall. Planning on dropping them in 8-12 feet of water. Hopefully find some pre-spawn staging areas to put them in.

They do look good and will last a long time. I mixed some bamboo with my pvc on the ones that I built hoping that they would attract fish quicker. I can't say for sure if it worked.

Looks good. The only thing that I see wrong with them is that they are not in my back yard. LOL. Good luck with them.

agri, you buy those buckets or what? and how much concrete do you put in them? and do you rough the pipe up so algae will build up quicker like i've read one is posed to do with pvc pipe?

The buckets you see in that picture are actually 15 gallon barrels cut in half. I get them for free. The buckets we use for the FFA Bamboo Crappie Condo project are collected from a variety of sources like the school cafeteria, local bakery, college, etc. We don't pay for them either.

saw Jimmy Houston promoting something like that. that's a great Idea and it will last forever. I might have to put some in my new pond, even though it's full of cover there are some places I missed. Thanks for the idea!
