I currently have a Shimano SR2500FG reel and Bass Pro Bionic Blade rod for my main bass fishing setup. I absolutely love the Shimano's quick fire trigger option. It is way easier than having to flip the bail open yourself. My question is is there a smaller reel out there with similar features that would be great for crappie fishing? Would the Shimano SR1000FG be a good option, or is it too big? If you have any other rod/reel suggestions please let me know. I've never really had a true crappie setup.
