    Default odd coon story

Fishing on BurntCane Saturday. Motoring along when I spot a commotion in the water ahead. Splashing, I thought either a fish or turtle on a yo-yo or limb line. Cohort said looks like a bird maybe a duck splashing around. Turned out to be a raccoon next to drowning. He was upright and struggling to keep his head up. Spinning in a circle about ten feet from shore and making no progress to get there. Went under a time or two. We stuck the net out and he grabbed hold. After some work we pushed him over to the bank and he ambled off. Blind in at least one eye. Pretty scraggly looking. Thought coons could swim. Got any ideas as to what
    was up??

Oh yes by the way the fishing sucked.
Crappie bite twice a day. 15 minutes before I get there and 10 minutes after I leave.
The sheep live in fear of the wolf but in the end it's the shepherd that eats them.

I don't know if I would have messed with a crazy coon. I crowded this one out of his fishing hole a few weeks ago.

One of the worst I have had there. Got to bragging to old Friday night and ate humble pie Saturday
. I figured the east wind would screw me up. It did.

Water is an odd brown stained color. Hard to see my submerged cover.when I did see a stump wheel we catch them they would not bite.
Bass fishermen were catching 1or2 small ones each.not much there either
