Hey Dave...Your gonna have to take your dad (me) to one of those hotspots up there as soon as the weather permits. I ain't been able to catch much since you moved. I guess you were bringing me good luck after all (or finding the fish!). I'm ready to get into a big school of those Pot-Belly Pigs your catching up there.

well i learned from one of the best, im ready when you are. i want us to get in on some of these river crappie and fill the ice chest.

So where is it gonna happen this weekend Dave??? I know you have been scouting out a hot honeyhole somewhere full of fat slabs. Is it going to take light armament or heavy artillary to get them to bite?? Deep...Shallow....Jigs...live bait....fast....slow?? Come on, give me a hint!

i had a vision this morning so im taking the boat to work, i believe a fellow could do pretty good somewhere today so when i get off, im thinkin about going to the slack water harbor. if i do go i'll keep you posted.

I've been trying to contact Dave all afternoon to see how he was doing but no luck whatsoever! I just got hold of his wife and she said there was an emergency at work and he had to work over. He won't be able to give us a report on the fishing tonite. However, for those of you who are interested I just had a friend from Crossett drop by the house with a limit of large size slabs he got from Lake Monticello this afternoon. He caught them in the deep water just off the bottom with jigs. He knows I haven't been able to go in a few weeks and he just wanted to rub it in a little! I've been tied up with work, work, work. But the weekend ain't over just yet!!! Hope I get to go!

That's where Larry has been, I heard he was in Jones lake, hard to keep up with him. I guess I'm gonna have to get up there and try to catch a few of them slaps.
