Dan - Good talking to you yesterday. We finished off with 16 NICE slabs that we took home. My dad and brother fishing in another boat, kept 11. Largest was right at 17" long and smallest kept was around 11 1/2. Wished I would have arrived earlier than 2:00 p.m. but had "honey-do's".
Fish wanted nothing more than a 1/32 oz. head with a stinger tail for me. About 4' deep with the action getting very hot right before dark. Color didn't seem to matter except it had to be on a small head. Those MidSouth "Pencil Tails" look darn good sinking slow on a small head. Sometimes the cork would be going under by the time the line tightened out under the float!

Man....I knew I should have come up there.

I guess they were slower today than yesterday. We fished the pool for almost 4 hours and left with 11 fish, only one real nice one. They seemed to prefer green and white tube jigs about 6ft deep. Couldn't buy a bite on a shiner-didn't have any pink minners to try. Slow bite but a good afternoon on the lake and a small mess of fish for this single man
