    Default Horseshoe Lake Tournament

Can anyone share any information on how the crappie were caught at the Horseshoe tournament last week?
With duck season over, I'm really itching to get after them, but I'm not sure where to start. Any information would be appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

A friend of a friend had 9lbs jigging the docks but said the trollers did better. He also said he didn't weigh in.

all of the top places caught their fish fishing 28-30 feet deep on minnows. The key is to go SLOW!!! Drop your weight to the bottom, and reel up just enough to take the slack out. The fish didn't bite as well Sunday as they did Sat., but my partner and I caught 20 from 10-2 doing this Sunday.

what size were the fish? You must have been in the channel fishing that deep, wasn't the wind tough?

the fish were a bit smaller than the tournament fish, but still good keepers. The bite was tough, and extemely lite. I tried a 2oz weight, and I couldnt detect the bite. Went to a 1oz and did alot better. I could see the rod tip move just a little. I fished out from Snowden.
