    Default Indoor fishing places

I saw a thread on the Oklahoma Forum where someone asked about these indoor type fishing places and was supprised at how many there were.

Does anyone know of any in Arkansas? Need to find someway to beat this cold.

One February back in the 1980's a friend and I anchored in a river channel in a lake and dropped a minnow down to the bottom and reeled it up about a foot. I would get these tap taps and then the eyes of the minnow would be missing. I recognized what was happening and changed over to a couple of small bream hooks with a bell sinker tied below the hooks, cut my minnows into three pieces and started catching big bluegills sometimes 2 at a time. It was so cold the water would occasionally freeze in the eye. We caught two limits over a period of 4 or 5 hours. When we got back to the boat landing and I got out of the boat and stood up I started shaking and thought I would never quit. Might should have made another thread but the cold reminded me of that trip. (I recall exactly where that was to.)

Why start another thread they both go together lol.

I don't know of none,I'm sure some the P'toon owners have theirs boxed in some how.
With the warmer clothes and foot wear they have now days a feller can stay pretty warm in real bad weather.I think I'm going to have to upgrade before next winter,I guess the older you get the thinner your skin gets.Last year the ones I have now were warm but this winter I've been coming home shaking like I swollewed a square peach seed the night before.

When I lived in Texas and got cabin fever this time of year, I would drive up to a marina on Rayburn and fish in their house. My son and I would use wax worms and catch a load of bream or crappie. Good memories.
I have nor seen or heard of any of these houses in Arkansas though.
