    Default gold creek report 11 20 09

fishing has slowed a bit with fronts and slow falling water,8" down and 3 -4 to go.crappie are bing caught pretty well with hit and miss pattern.this day i saw 4 good catches this evening, morning was slow. fish count appears to be good.g and fish set nets 5 nets caught 200 overnight.kept 20 -15-16 incheres for testing,on older fish.lots of crappie and lots of shad.
crowds have cut back allowing more mobile fishing.if your ther at the right time you cacth them fast or pick them here and there.
here is my nephew with some nice fish we caught 2 nights ago

any way the week was slower than it had been but still seen4-5 good catches a day -some limits.

I'm not sure yet what my fishing schedule is this weekend. I have a new net and some new rod holders to test out. I need to get some more saved up so I can get 4 new reels for my purty purplie feeshing rods. I'm thinking about the Okuma Magda 15's or 20's, but the local reel fixit place says he's had trouble getting parts and the main gear tends to break half in two in those that he has repaired. All had the same problem.

anywho... Nice catch and thanks for the report. I'm hoping to get on the water and if I have enough time, I'll be down there to see ya and get some minners and more advice.

Dan is right, the bite has slowed a bit and the water is falling. I saw creekslick out there today. He gave me a couple of fish, but I ended up with a limit. I was able to throw a couple back and keep a couple of creekslicks bigger ones.

No big size on the fish today. They were all about 3/4 - 1 1/4 lbs. They really started to hit about dark. I stayed a little too long. It got really dark, and my light was not working. I never knew my boat could go so slow. It was hard to see getting out of there.

creekslick, it was nice to meet you out there today. I can't wait to take you up on that offer to come and pull cranks off that pontoon boat!

Its was good to meet you LRJoe1 but I wish I had more fish to give you for your fry. I will let you know when they start hitting the cranks at Greers next summer.
