Default where is the cane creek report?

I haven't seen very much info on cane creek this fall. I was wondering if anyone was nailing those slabs in the beaverpond like we usually do. My trolling motor is broke, and I'm waiting on a part, so I probably won't get a chance to get over there this year. Just want to live through your experiences. any reports?

Jerry and Willie sure have been quite this year. We might should send some one down there to check on them.

I talked to a guy who lives in Star City yesterday and he said all the reports are bad. Some are catching one or two or none. He thinks the water temp has to drop considerably before they turn on, my opinion also. The grass is still a big problem, will sink when the temp drops. Sorry, I could not give a good report. woodpecker,

that's not necessarily a bad report, just means they haven't piled in there yet. usually they are there around vet's day, but we've had a mild november this year. Usually find them in there a couple of weeks before the shad die off. been there when that happens, and it's not usually real good during a shad die off.

Guys, you aren't missing much. I talked to Lucky for the majority of the time while I was there and there is still a lot of grass. Spiderrigging is out of the question. I don't figure even CEB could be successful out there right now. Water temp was 59 degrees and water is still fairly high. (Lucky said the ramp was under water a little over a week ago). I figure another month or so and we may be in business. I was quite disappointed....

That's really odd. My buddy's friends were up there on Nov. 7 and 8th camping and fishing. And they caught boat loads of slabs with pictures.

However, the pictures are on Facebook. I'll ask if I can show them here.

That's how it usually rolls for me and Bobberwatcher. "Man, you should have been here last week !"

My son said a guy he works with went down last week and tore them up. He said they caught over 70 in two days.

I looked to find out where this lake was and what it looked like. Man what a timber fest. Don't think I would be able to get my 20' Cobra on that lake.
