Default Sunday Crappie - Degray Lake - 11-15-09

Dad and I went this morning and put in at Brushy Creek. The fishing was tough, but we still wound up with 30 chunks. Seems like they're starting to really put on some weight. I don't think I've been fishing when the crappie were fighting as hard as they were today.

Fishing 12-18 feet deep in 20-35ft of water using minnows and shad colored jigs. Water temp was 62.7 and the lake level was 407.85.

    Good Job!!
We all owe you for the work you have put in there. I stumbled across some brush a couple of months ago that I am sure you placed. Had a good day too.

Thanks DP, although a lot of people put brush in Degray....it's just everybody knows the location of ours. :D

I imagine that it will take a few years of placing A LOT of bamboo in a lake the size of Degray to really effect it. We've just made it a little easier to catch the fish that were already there.
