Default Lake Degray 11/7/09 - Double Limit +++

Went fishing this morning with my usual fishing partner (my dad). We caught our limit of 40 crappie and did a little culling in two and a half hours. We were trying to put our rods and reels up and were having trouble cause the crappie were still biting!

Now here's the kicker...we caught ALL 40+ crappie in ONE SPOT fishing over three bamboo crappie condos sunk together! We probably didn't move more than 15-20' the entire time.

Big fish for the day was a 2lb 4oz slab caught by my dad.

Here's a look at what we were fishing:

Here's a look at where we were fishing:

And finally here's a look at how we were fishing:

    Great job.

Some folks catch em, some just fish for em. Took my wife out a couple times, week before last, Greason and Ouachita, she caught 2 bass, I got nothing. We fished very similar to your pictures. Used a marker bouy to mark the structure, used minnows and jigs. Oh well. Some are "Catcher's" and some are just "Fishers". Looks like you and your Dad are in the "Catchers" catogory.

Thanks again for the Lat's and Lon's.

Congrats great looking mess of fish. I'm not very good at trolling but I have a similar situation down here where I live, I have 5 condos in 18-20fow, but I haven't been very successful. What are you using and what size weight do you use. I've been fishing the condos like I would fish a brush pile at 8-10 fow and like I said earlier I haven't been doing any good.

    Thanks for the "atta boys"

We were fishing 15-16 feet deep in 26-33 feet of water depending on what side of the condo we were on. Using #6 & #4 hooks depending on the rod and two split-shot sinkers. The smallest split-shot is the size above BB split-shot and the bigger sinker was the size about that. Small sinker 18" above the hook and the big sinker 12" above the small sinker.

    Nice catch and pics
It's not the numbers or the size, it's the time spent on the water!

Dad-gum those look great. Man, all that work you put in is paying off in spades for you.

I still have to load the information you sent me into my GPS. I finally taught myself how, now I just have to do it.

Great photos, and thanks for sharing.

I caught a few on Ouachita last week the biggest of which was a full 16 inches!

    Later,
