HARRIS BRAKE is an AGFC lake and it is full of stumps. I heard it was going to be drawn down.

Harris Brake is a very stumpy lake that holds some amazing size Crappie. The lake is being drawn down and should be completed by the first of October, I think. Wait a week after the draw down and then fish the lake. Try shooting the dock that extend out to 6-8 FOW with a 1/32 oz. jig (pink head) with a white/Chart. body, preferably pencil tail style. If that doesn't pan out, fish the "crappie coves". They will be easy to find, follow the boat traffic!

    Hope this helps!

I think the first 6 feet in front of the dam and about 12 feet out from the boat ramp is unstumpy, other than that, all you have to worry about is getting off the stump you're stuck on, and which stump you're gonna be stuck on next.

Oh, and there is a minimum length on Harris. I think its 9".

I was told about the draw down as well, but thought it was going to be later this winter. Its a good time to go look for shells (red ear habitat) and for exposed habitat. I think they are going to mark boat lanes again (yea!!!!) and the have told the residents to get needed repairs made to derelict docks/boat houses during this time.

    Should be gooooooood fishing.
