Default Caney Creek/Gold Creek Lake Conway Lilly Pads

Starting to catch em in the Lilly Pads in Caney Creek and Gold Creek. Me and a partner caught 26 keepers today in Caney, also caught 21 in two trips in the Gold Creek area. SHAD have moved into the creeks. The bite is starting for the creeks and pads in Lake Conway. Solid Chart tube/Chart 1/32 oz head/nibblets, fished the pads along the edge of the creek channels. Fishing should get nothing but better and better for these waters in the weeks ahead. Go GET-EM.

Thanks Dano, LET THE PARTY BEGIN, you know out of all the crappie fishing I do, I just love busting em in those pads every year , more than any other pattern. I also have a belief that when those water turkey's start arriving and working the lake over real good, and after fresh rains, it brings those fish right up the creek to us.:D Working right now, but i'll see ya Sunday for sure. Make sure you tell em to save a few for the ole CP.

    Default gold creek

Got started late around 8 a.m. caught 10 only two keepers (hungry man keepers) fished till 3 p.m. mostly in the pads. Not a good day. Some folks seemed to be catching a few but no one was bragging. To nice of a day to catch fish but to nice to stay home. Tomorrow will be better with 60 as the high and rain. Good luck to all
