Well, here's a welcome from Toadsuck.
I catch a few crappie there on the Perry County side of the river, usually while tossing tube jigs for whatever I can catch. A lot of people fish for crappie right under the bridge by throwing out to the wall. The hole down at the boat ramp is also popular where the park shoves their brush into the water to stabilize the bank.
How and where to fish Toadsuck seems entirely dependent upon the water flow through the dam. Even during April-May, they are sometimes hard to locate. The best times seem to be early in the morning and late in the evening.
