    Default fish story

A friend of mine just told me a funny fishing story I need to share.

He was fish hungry and his father offered to give him a bag of crappie fillets he had in the freezer. He brought them home, went to the store, bought oil, fish fry, etc. and got set up to eat some fish.

As the fish started to thaw, he noticed the fillets looked a little funny. As the fish thawed, he wasn't sure of what he had been given by his father. He opened the ziplock bag to smell of the fillets only to realize.......

It was a bag of turnips! He was so mad at his father, told him about the fish fillets, made him fish hungry, and then the dissapointment of a bag of frozen turnips. Who freezes turnips? He threw the turnips away, and didn't get any fish.

I laughed until I cried about this fish story. I had to share it with you fellas.

"Why do you think your father might not be able to live by himself anymore?"

"Hmm, well... He freezes turnips and thinks they are fish fillets.":D

I'm just teasing, but seriously... Turnips?

Maby, just maby he has a very smart old man and he is trying to teach his son that if you want to eat Crappie out of my freezer you best go help me catch them. Otherwise you can just have turnips and cornbread. What you think? Sometimes the old coots can be a little crazy....like a fox..:D:D

Hey man, turnips are cheap, crappie are not. LOL. This was too funny. By the way, yall ever tried to figure out how much we pay for a pound of crappie fillets? I would be scared to know, and I sure wouldn't want my wife to know. LOL.

Buy Crappie online for $85 per 5.5 lbs filets!!! I didn't know they could be sold but I guess some states allow it! I think that is still probably a bargain compared to my last fishing trip!! Fish Market - Walleye Fillets | Freshwater Fish
    From the ARK-LA-MISS Delta....... Crappie Paradise ! ! ! !

After my third trip on Lake Michigan for lake trout I finally got a ten pounder!
My share of the trips(four guys) was 260.00! So at 26 dollars a pound including the head and tail that trout was like eating lobster only not that
