Horsehead Lake?

Yesterday while out on a motorcycle ride I happened across horsehead lake which is north of Clarksville. I have never known this lake to exist but thinking about checking it out now that I have found it. Can someone give me some pre-trip insight on this place?

Call the Corps of Engineers Office at Blue Mountain and ask for Rick. He's your "go to" guy on Horsehead.

Probably the best thing to do is just to get on that bike of yours and go see him at the office. The boy caught a 44" striper with me at Ouachita and every time he talks about it, it keeps growing a pound or two at each mention. He'd fit right in with this bunch.

nice small 60 acre something lake tons of stumps it is not if you hit a stump it is when and how many! I like going there dont have to worry about jet skis or boat wakes! and for a small lake it can get ddddeeeeeeppppp !! and yes there is crappie in there I just need to find them. I wouldnt take a fiberglass boat out there.

Hey thanks for the tidbit, as soon as I get my lil boat back up and going (hopefully real soon) I am headed that way. Lake looked very interesting to me. See ya on the waters.
