Lake Dequeen is probably like Dierks Lake----Need to fish in the timber in about 15-20 ft. of water. Drop offs works very good. I fish off the side of the main river channel in the flats.
Just need to starting trolling from the river channel outward and check the water depth as you go. Find the drop offs, but try and stay in the timber.
Dieks the water can go from 40-50 feet in the channel and decrease as you move away from the main channel.
I love too fish in deep creeks also in brush tops![]()
Glad to see others fishing DeQueen and Dierks. I fished Dierks last thursday. Finished with a limit of fair size. Could not get em to take a jig, minnows only. found them in 14-18' fishing about 12', get out of that range could not get a nibble. Can't wait for millwood to settle down.

I was in Millwood this past week. The Oxbows getting into them is very slow and very shallow. Mcguire was about 16-18 inches just prior going into the main lake. I turned around and came out-- the water had turned red, why I do not know.
The only main part of the lake that is even decent is around the dam and out to the timber, other than that I fished the river channel and it is still deep 25-30 feet deep. Both sides of the river is plenty of stumps and timber that is out of the water and still in deep water 10-15 feet deep in the flats.
