i started out this morning at a chain lake off of the oauchita called greens lake or green slough on some maps...the conditions were good but the gar population was bad....caught 7 keeper crappie and 3 times that many needle nose gar..got tired of fightin' 'em so i loaded up and moved down the road a piece to moro bay and caught 16 more for a total of 23....caught all of them trolling jigs and shiners at around 1 mph but the majority came on a pumpkin seed jig with green glitter...it was a beautiful day in south ark and it was a blessing just to be outdoors and able to enjoy it.
beautiful Greens Lake
a 14.5 incher and the jig i was using with 1/8 oz head
