    Default Nimrod and Bandits


    No not SlabBandit. I looked for him though. As usual for me, I had some other issues pop up that delayed my planned day of fishing. Adam and I didn't get on the water until about 3 PM. I have been on Nimrod only one time before helping Mr Nimrod place brush a couple of years ago. It was about 15' higher then! I found the old river channel and started dragging the Bandits along the banks. We picked up 4 real nice ones plus a bass that went around 4 lbs. I don't carry scales; so, they can weigh about as much as I want them too. It was a great evening watching the brush piles go under the bow, then the stern. We would wait a few seconds, then WHAM. But, out of the 30 or so bandits I have, they were all caught on one single color. Infact one bandit caught every fish.

    That's what I was wondering.... only one color catching fish out of 30 and he changes the subject. Sheesh.

    So...give it up already!

    My best producers are (in the 300s) Tennessee Shad (far and away) and Pearl w/ a chartruese stripe down the back.

    So...DP....what colors do YOU like???? :D

    My wife and her counselor tell me I am a terrible communicater.
    How about pearl with a green to chartruse belly. I was really disappointed in the water color after my last few trips have been Degray and Greer's. Nimrods water looked like it was thick enopugh to stand on. I guess that color combination was bright enough for them to see.
