Keep it simple when it comes to jig colors. I use mainly solid chartreuse, black/chartreuse, red/white, blue/white.

Try casting roadrunner jigs and fish them slowly.

If you ever see any willow trees in the water try fishing them for sure.

Just about any lay down trees are good too. Try fishing shallow and deep, all around the tree, til you find them.

I get hung less while still fishing jigs than minnows.

I think crappie are easier to catch in water with some color, rather than super clear water.

Learn to use your fishfinder to find the depths most fish are holding at.

Try sinking your own cover where you can find it easily, but others can't.
