That's the perfect depth for the bandits, fer sur.
Thanks for the information. I detected a hint of the thermocline on Ouachita yesterday, as well.

Went scuba diving this past weekend and there is a definite thermocline at around 14 feet.
Thought you other crankbait trollers might like to know.

Hey dog....good to hear from ya...didn't know you are a diver....I love to dive but haven't done it in several years....thanks for the info.
Looks like we got a few divers on here I dive at Norfork, Greers and Ouachita. Try to locate the crappie but usually just see bass and bream.
I went Sat by myself and Sun with my brother. Never saw a crappie, which surprised me. I did see lots of bream and small bass. Stayed above the thermocline. Next time I am taking my wetsuit and going deeper. Visibility was poor at only about 5 feet. Durn water lice had it pretty stirred up.
Tory, I'm glad to see you and CP catching them on the bandits.
I tried them once about a month ago with very limited success. Bout time to go again.
Krappie KG, I was reading some very good reports on visibility at Norfork on
midwestmuckdiving.com
My brother and I are talking about a trip up there.

Years ago I used to dive at Greers and always saw far more bass and bream than crappie. It was also my observation that the few crappie I did see were incredibly skittish. I mean they were out of there as soon as they saw you where the bass and bream would usually just watch you.
