    Default Saltwater Crappie?

I don't guess I 'll find any saltwater crappie, but we're heading for the Gulf of Mexico tomorrow morning--Cocodrie, LA. We'll be fishing offshore in the Gulf Sunday. Look out snapper, tuna, cobia, amberjacks, and whatever else gets close to the hook! Man, I love fishing around those oil rigs! Last year 12 of us caught over 900 pounds of fish between us, so we're hoping for even more this trip. The forecast is for 1' or less seas, which is a heck of a lot better than last year. One of the great things about this trip is that my Dad is going with me! I can't wait till he gets a hold of one of those bigguns!:D

Good for you polebender. I hope you have a blast. I wish my dad was still alive to go with me. Tight lines buddy!
If you're too busy to go fishing, you're too busy!

I would love to have a 20 red snapper mounted and painted up like a CRAPPIE> that would be a HOOT!

Had an awesome trip. Our boat of 6 people had 487 pounds of fish and the other boat had 300 pounds! Red snapper, cobia, blackfin tuna, amberjack. Can't wait to go back next year! The biggest red snapper was 18 lbs!
