How many tricked and treated tonight?

Wifey and I sat outside and passed out candy tonight. We noticed that there weren't as many porch lights on as there were when our kids used to go trick or treating just a few years ago. Certainly not nearly as many as when we were kids trick or treating back in the 70s.........seemed like every light was on!

One elderly neighbor iced down sodas in a big ice chest and had a sign that said "Too old to come to the door, please take only one and have a safe and happy Halloween." I think that's why there's not as many lights on. Most of those people have gotten old and have either passed on or just don't participate any more. Saw lots of young folks with nice manners tonight and only had one truck with teenagers in the back who stopped. Treated them all!

Just curious who all still does the Halloween thing? GTT

I got home at sunset from running gill nets, forgot about Halloween . Porch light on as I unloaded Buffalo and Catfish to dress out . Kids stopped and I reached inside and grabbed a handfull of change off the table . They loved that, only ones stopped . But I turned of light and went to the shop to dress fish after that. :o

Captain Jacob Schroeder, USAF, brought home a huge bag of goodies from my Uncles neighborhood in Fayetteville. Of course an inspection was made to ensure all of the good candy was safe for consumption.
