Started slow trolling minnows found'em on some brush in 35" got several bites only caught two small ones. Remembered reading some Maumelle tournament report's & the similarities to the situation I was in. So I started casting Rockport Rattler 1/8 oz black with yellow eyes Lake Fork style body blck/chart silver flakes tipped with silver nibble 4 pound test clear. long cast letting it sink to the bottom & SLOW retrieval. The bite was so light it felt like the jig was stuck on the bottom! Ended up with 15 & 4 good ones! In the past I would have kept trying to shove minnows down their throats! lesson learned you need to be versatile and willing to shake things up when the bites not right.
