Was having a cup of coffee and thought of a prank I pulled on my dad and thought I would share.
It was 2006, my oldest son Drake was 4, and it was the second weekend of modern gun season. It was also my weekend with to have the boys and I knew I was staying home with them since Justin and Aaden were too young to go still. Well Drake talked Pa into taking him, so he runs over to the house to get some items for his pack. Looking for an old pair of binoculars I found a goose call, and it just clicked!I told Drake, "son, this is a magic deer call. When you get on the stand and it gets good light, and you think you are about to see some deer, get this call out and blow it as loud as you can. But don't tell Papa you have it!"
They loaded up and headed to camp. It was an eventful weekend and by the time they got home, I had forgotten about goose call. First thing my dad said to me when he got outta the truck-"I'm gonna kill ya"- oh I fell to tears laughing. The plan worked beautifully. Drake had got the call out a little before 8 and was determined to call all the geese in from Canada!

Yep, he still owes me for that one!
