I intend to try and use the rail for as many things as I can. I really want the bow sonar more toward the middle. I know sooner or later, I'm gonna need to break out the drill. It will break my heart.:biggrin

I had the same problem when I got my wheel boat.
Then I got these and put them on the back:
Cabela's Post Guide-Ons : Cabela's
NOT ENOUGH
So I got these and put them in the middle:
Cabela's Deluxe Roller Guide-Ons : Cabela's
And now their stupid "Custom" trailer is actually functional.
Then you are too deep in the water with your trailer.
One 'trick' (and I know less about this than I do fishing, but trying to help a fellow LOSER).......is to start out backing the Trailer into the water about 1/2 as far as you think it should go. What size motor (did I miss that?) If the ramp is steep enough, you can MUSCLE your way up the trailer with the motor. Added benefit, you get to step out of the boat onto dry land and latch it. If your partner is backing it down, teach him/her to do that first. Then to look in mirror and if you try to muscle it up, and don't make it all the way, he/she can watch you and INCH it back another smidge. Then try again. Then figure out where the best spot is. But yeah, you gots to be lined up straight first.
I can't tell you the days I've made folks wait and they get mad at an old goat that doesn't know how to do it. The guide ons help a lot.
Tip two. Get a CHEAP pair of those croc type shoes, rubber. Or maybe you have 'water shoes'. Put them on before you get all the way to the ramp. Then if you need to get out in some amount of water to winch the boat the rest of the way, you can without drowning those Sperry Boat shoes that are so cool.
That's best I got.
Good luck.
Nice rig Randall , congrats!!
Randall just back in enough where the top of your fenders are out of the water, it work on a walleye boat.
Thanks for the tips.
Just let Carol load it up!! :Rofl Just kidding.
