Ordered a spool of Varivas Blue Moon Fluorocarbon 1.5# line to give a try .
I hope I can see it to tie on my micro jigs .
Thought it was time to get serious about my micro fishing adventures.
The 2# Ande line I’m using at the moment is 0.12mm diameter.
The 1.5# Varivas BMF is 0.090mm .
The Ande is IGFA Tournament line that breaks at or below its rating .
I’m thinking the Varivas BMF should be at least as strong as the Ande .
It’ll be going on a Shimano Soare bb 500spg that’ll I’ll replace the handle knob bushings with two sets ball bearings .
The rod will be a 5’2” SeaSir Stream UL rod .
I’ve gone to a size 14 Mustad 3X long streamer hook with a 4mm Tungsten cyclops bead for my micro jigs . Caught and held a 2# spotted bass yesterday, guessing it’ll be great on the small gills I catch or anything else that wants a tiny morsel to snack on .
