Another UL story?
Hi folks, being an angler of any form such as bass angler, surf angler, fly fishing and then the boat, shore or dock users, we often ask ourselves, at least I have,: "where do one spend majority of his/her tackle dollars on?" Well if you are like me who's getting most of his answer from the world wide web AKA: google. It's a general concensus we should spend our hard earn cash more on the fishing rod than the reels, line, or terminal end of things. But that's not true is it? It all depends, if anything I've learned up until now being a member here at CDC. Some fly-fishing folks still see fly reel as no more than a "line holder"...lol. That's only true if you mostly catching Bluegills, fast charging Tarpon on the other hand, not so true. Let's just say Tibor still in business for a good reason.
Long story short I've recently had the pleasure of doing a little UL fishing in the beautiful areas of Orlando and Ponce Inlet, Florida and I've come to term that I need to put a little more fund toward that part of this great hobby: travel angling. Believe me there are no shortages of travel rods on the net, multiple pieces or telescopic. What's hard to come by is of the ultralight variety and so far I've only seeing them being offered for sale on JDM sites and the new introduced Gamakatsu Yoihime Pack Style is no exception. After watching a YouTube video review I've decided the multi-piece 4'9" ul will compliment my current travel Telescope Major Craft perfectly being both will be under 15 inches when collapsed. These will definitely fit in the ever decreasing size of today carry-on bags, the reason of this post and write-up. Here sharing with you all a new purchase waiting to take delivery. Performance report will follow. Cheers!
