These are two of the five I’m using and that are doing well for me. The one on the right is the one that I was using when I straightened the hook on the big tilapia. The stuff below .2 is kinda hard to find so I bought the .15 from varivas home site. Not the cheapest but they had it. I just ordered a spool of .2 for my brother through Amazon and while it said free 3 day shipping when it came down to it they don’t want to honor the time stated and they’re saying the 26th. I’m about to cancel the order. Just be careful where you deal with. And it’s easy to see, even comes in pink. I have no shame so it wouldn’t bother me.
Thanks Tim , I just ordered the 7# (6.7# average) in pink . Says I should get it Sunday .
Think I put it on my Soare XR 500spg .
Any suggestions on how to attach it to the spool ?
Interesting. I can tell you don't use Power Pro. It is a four strand brand that is not very round. It didn't do that well on casting distance for me. My 2lb Trilene XL can cast a Panfish Magnet slightly farther. It just didn't come off the reel smoothly. Yesterday I took it off and replaced it with Trout SOS 2lb. Haven't had a chance to use the SOS yet because it is raining right now.
That’s what I use Trout SOS 2# on my Leland Trout Slayer rod (now the BnM TCB). I like the line and it seems to cast a mile to me.
Has anyone tried the Diawa J-Braid Grand X8?
With any mono or copolymer, I soak it in warm water for at least 5 minutes and then spool it with the line spool just flopping around in the pail of hot water. I do use a wet rag in front of the first eye on the rod to provide tension. I saw this on You Tube a few years ago and have never had any twisting or memory issues by doing it this way. I was extremely impressed by how straight the SOS was after doing this. There was no waviness, nothing but straight and limp. I can't wait to try this! Also, as it a copolymer it will have less stretch than mono and be a little more sensitive.Quote:

Been on TM pro staff since 2009. Up until 2017 I used SOS 2# test line almost exclusively. While it has some good qualities low stretch is not one of them. As a matter of fact the line has way too much stretch. But I would say the line is good value for money spent.Quote:
