Default New travel rod Diplomat X Ultra light

Another new rod arrrived today. I wanted a travel rod to be able to take with me to National Guard Drill. I tried to order an Abu Garcia Mass Beat 3 from Amazon, on a recommendation from gillchaser but it got cancelled. Still waiting for the refund on that. Looking at other rods I came across the Diplomat X travel rods, the lightest power rod in the series is an UL. It is a 4 piece rod listed at 6'6".

    Diplomat X Spinning Rod – Abu Garcia® EU (abugarcia-fishing.eu)

I only played with it a little bit as I was testing out the other rod that came today also.

The rod is noticeably heavier than the rods I've been using lately, almost twice as heavy. Measured 100g on my scale.

Sorry about the Abu Garcia. I ordered two of them a week ago and they were canceled two days ago . I called and raised cane but still don’t have a refund on mine either .
    I don’t know what’s going on with them .

Gill hope you didn't take that the wrong way. I wanted to try the rod based off your review. I don't think it you have any thing to do with how amazon.jp handles orders.

Best wishes with the new stick. Just the thing to take a break with while serving.

    Oh , I didn’t.
I’m glad you let me know there’s an issue going on with Amazon Jp right now .
I thought it was just me that was having an issue.
I love the rod so much that when they dropped the price , I ordered another one , an hour later the ordered a second one while they were cheaper . I figured if I broke a tip , it’d be easier to have an extra rod than it would be to try and replace a tip .
I just sorry you’re going through what I going through with trying to get a refund on an item that was cancelled by Amazon.

Amazon is quick to take payment. Kinda slow to return it a lot of the times
