Well it happened to me. I broke the rod taking it out of the case. Went fishing last Friday evening with the wife. Was taking it out of the case when I heard a snap. Used 2 sewing needles and some epoxy to piece it back together over the weekend.
Tried it out in the pond after work today. Caught a couple bluegill/sunfish for 3 to 7 inches and one smaller bass. I wouldn't say it's good as new but it will have to do.
