Missed my shorter rods this morning

I had decided to go light today and only take a few fly boxes with flies and small jigs in my shirt pocket , a couple of snap on floats , and a towel to wipe my hands .
My hemostats and line cutter were attached to my shirt as well .
I figured if I’m going to fish float n fly , I may as well take a seven footer rod .
If the line wraps around the tip of the rod , you can’t just reach up and untangle it .
Frustrating.
Missed the balance and especially the light weight of a five footer .
Missed not having a few plastic baits too.
But did you catch anything? You ask ?
Three small gills !
Don’t know what’s up with the pond right now , yesterday wasn’t worth mentioning either.
This was the biggest and the smallest .
Wished I fished the dock at the reservoir, the fish are small there , but they’re usually cooperative.
