DB4D , thought you’d like to know , this morning, I got out my 6’6”TFO T&P UL rod to set it up for a future fishing trip .
I happened to glance down at the end of the split grip and there’s a tiny round sticker on it that says “ Made in Korea “
So, I’m guessing they’ve changed them with this most recent shipment.
Could be , the manufacturer in Korea sourced out the assembly of the rods to China .
Shimano , Daiwa and everybody else does it .
Just thought you’d like to know .
How are you liking that rod GC?
The TFO Trout and Panfish rods are nice panfish rods for the money .
Compared to my St Croix Trout and Panfish rods , they have similar feel .
I like the guides and handle on the TFO better than the SC .
Both my 6’ and my 6’6” TFO are Covid rods and haven’t been out a lot .
I just started back fishing late fall and now winter has me restricted to bank fishing with one rod at a time , until the warm part of the day reaches around four hours and then I’ll take the boat out and I’ll be taking 3-4 rods each trip .
BTW , I can’t tell any difference between the quality of the one put together in Korea and the one from China .
I have 3 TFO T&P 6’’ rods and really like them. I have had them about 3 years

I found TFO and Dobyns at the same time. I like them both better than my St. Croix. As a matter of fact, My St. Croix was broken in a boat parking incident last summer and I didn't bother to replace it.
A Dobyns UL is on my list . If I bought one it would be the 6’ 2” two piece .
I’d like to have a 5’6” TFO . I went with the 6’ and 6’6” because they were available in a two piece . A lot easier to replace a tip than it is replace a whole rod .
