Well now you have piqued my interest, how do they wash their PE lines? Strip line off of spool then reel back on spool through a wet cloth?

While I can’t find the videos now they use line winders and or line recyclers……put the spool of braid in a plastic baggie with soap and water and spin it around. Some of those line tools are electric so they just turn it on and let it run. I think the term they use today instead of line washing PE is line desalinating PE.

I remember in the 90's using braid in salt water for flounder. It weakend the braid to the point it would break easily. A little while after they came out with a saltwater series braid
