Fun with the Abu’s

That waxworm looks like it will do well with trout...

Going to pick up a few packs of the waxworms as well. Thanks for the recommendation.

They are a rascal to get rigged right but I prefer the decoy head with the little keeper for them and once you line it up right it stays put about the whole time with little adjustment. Seems like a lot of people like them for trout but I got them mainly for gills. Took me a while to commit since they are so pricey and they were never on sale but seems worth it so far to me.

Nice couple of rigs, for sure !

Just wiggled my new Eradicator 79ULS. It feels much better composed and maybe just a bit faster than the Rockin Finesse (could be the result of better composure), but it bends more and smoother. I was surprised by that last observation given the blank taper – looks much more aggressive and thicker in the butt section than the Finesse. Looks quite promising.

The gills weren’t any real monsters but they were plenty of fun for a couple quick outings.

If you can get them to bite on that Wax worm then they would probably like the Berkley PowerBait Power Honey Worm.

I have used the power honey worms and they are good baits as well. These Nikko wax worms feel real to me and stretch. The stretch part is what got me to bite on them and so far I like them quite a bit. Good suggestion on another good wax worm imitation.

So many things to try this season. The Nikkos sound like a great bait.
