Yes I can chime in...he is way off base on comparing a 20 Luvias to a Shimano Vanquish. The Vanquish has 12 bearings...the 20 Luvias 10 bearings. The Vanquish has a 40mm handle...the 20 Luvias has a 45mm handle. The 20 Luvias with MagSeal....and larger DigiGear does not make for a reel with low inertia. As to a special tool to take out the shaft set screw.......all that is required is .9mm hex head. Which for those who have tuned a Ballistic FW that is not a problem. As for opening up the 20 Luvias to service yourself....most folks cannot, or should they try to service a MagSeal reel. Plenty of reel guys around the country can get into that reel and service it for you for about 30 bucks. The drag clicker...well Daiwa and Shimano have different drag clickers and make a completely different sound. Daiwa's are usually a softer sound than a Shimano. The Vanquish will set you back $439...the 20 Luvias $282. Is the Vanquish a better reel..it better be at a $157 premium! I do not own a Vanquish......but I will. A more fair comparison would be to the new shimano Twin Power.....but even then the Shimano has a 35 dollar premium. I own a Twin Power....a 2013 model. It is a great reel but I remember at the time thinking the 50 plus dollar premium over the 2012 Luvias I had bought just didn't quite make it that much better. As to the other reels I cannot speak to but he is leading you to believe the 20 Luvias is no better than a cheap Daiwa reel...hogwash! In all likelihood I will not purchase another 20 Luvias...not because it is not a great reel at a great price....but simply because they no longer make it in a 1000 series...of which I have become a huge fan of. So much so that I am thinking of giving all my 2000 series reels to my sons...not the 20 Luvias though. I communicate with Victor aka....i_fish....I subscribe to his channel...but he has missed the mark on the review of the 20 Luivas.
