You can't really compare those rods. I dont have the nano model but have a 6' 10" TZ and a 6' 5" TZ...or I should say used to have the 6 5 model....I gave it to the guy who rigged my boat when I bought it. The Blue Current TZ are tubular tipped rods vs solid tip for the Corto. The Corto is a sensitive rod but the Blue Current TZ is even more so.Quote:

I want another JDM rod for a specific use: throwing small (CD05) countdown Rapalas and such (like Duo Ryuki 45s, Yo-zuri Pinz, Lucky Craft Stream Drive 45 if I can find some) on 2 lb test for trout in the Chattahoochee river. The river is very cold, mildly swift with faster shoals here 'n there, and it is real nice to kayak fish on these hot days. It is slap full of stocker rainbows and browns in the 8-12 inch range, but the possibility of hooking a monster brown is real. I'm using my Tict IC-69RP Sis (Rockin' Power) which is great, but if there is a better choice...
You have several good options. I would look at an area or stream trout rod. I don't own any stream trout rods but if Chris from over at Finesse Fishing sees this he can far better advise than me on the stream rods. TenRyu has a great rod in the Rayaz Alter......of course you could get the Graphiteleader Supper Bellezza. Just depends on your budget. I can tell you a Yamaga Blanks TZ jig head special model will do what you want most assuredly. It is not a trout rod but it will perform great at what you're wanting to do. I have used it with small cranks to catch a lot of trout on the Caney Fork River. I never caught any huge trout with it...some in the 15-17 inch range.....a few browns 18-19 inches. It handled them very well. I have caught a ton of Smallies with it.....18-22 inches.....and it handled them with no problems also.Quote:

@Alphahawk : Which specific YB or Super Bellezza rod are you referring to, for my app? I was looking particularly at the YB BC 71 TZ/Nano, or maybe the 67 TZ/Nano
Either of those 2 Yamaga Blanks would be great....if you go to this page you can see the bending curve. You are being redirected... On the Super Bellezza take a look at the 2018 6' 7" L model. If you go on youtube and do a search for Russians trout fishing you will come up with videos where the Russians are using JDM UL trout rods. They are landing huge trout with them....it also appears they are over stressing the rods as they are obviously using a high strength braid to do this. But I guess if you keep a light drag you can do it.

It would....but I wouldnt recommend it....unless one can get it at a big discount. It is the Hard model. It is the first rod I grab when the white bass show up. It is a beast of an UL......but it is several years old and at full price there are better selections out there now.Quote:
