Made a trip out to Guntersville Lk yesterday morning to see what I could find. Not as much bait moving as hoped for. I did manage one nice crappie over 15" under a lighted bobber with a minnow before sunrise. BONUS: this 17" Sauger showed up. Caught the Sauger on a 1/16 chartreuse jig with a blue ice BG baby shad. Clarity was unreal at 6' (yes, I said six feet!). It was a pleasant morning out, just not nearly as productive as hoped. Interestingly, not much eel grass floating around, but I did see some hydrilla floating around. Did a fish fry this evening with the two that I did bring home.

WTG. Glad to see people out on water.
Way to go! I don't fish for Sauger but catch a few short ones each year by accident. I'd love to get a couple that would measure to try sometime.
Very nice sir!
