Default Kayak Trip Report, Limestone Bay/Creek

I took off from work mid-day and drove to the iron bridge and dragged my kayak into Limestone Creek. I never turned on my fishfinder so I'm unsure of temperature, probably middle 60's with visibility of a couple feet. I broke my 10 foot jig pole within the first 30 minutes on a catfish, so was handicapped, but still kept 6 Crappie between 9 and 10 inches and returned another dozen larger fish. Everything came off a jig and bobber fished anywhere there was brush or a shady spot on the bank. Short Crappie and gills seemed to be everywhere.

    Beautiful afternoon on the water.

Sounds like a relaxing enjoyable trip other than breaking the jig pole.
