Default Kayak Trip Report, Swan Creek WMA

I fished Swan Creek this morning for a few hours. I didn't find any bedding Gills but managed a few with jig and bobber on isolated Button Bush stick ups. The water is summer low but needs to drop a few more inches to force the fish out of the Button Brush on the edges. Returned several small bass and a couple 14-inch Crappie. Biggest surprise was a 13 1/2-inch Shellcracker. I kept a dozen of the larger Gills and returned everything else.

I've caught and released several Crackers up to around 10" in Swan the last few years, but didn't think there was any that big in there, LOL!
