Default How's Neeley Henry's Water Levels?

I drive down from Michigan every year the last week of October to Dock Shoot on the Neely Henry. Last year the weather was horrible (can't do nothing about that) but the lake levels were so low we couldn't even launch the boat. Just got turned on to the Shorelines App to check water levels and they are dropping below historic lows. Got 2 questions.

    1. Are the water levels at 506ft currently so low on the Neely Henry at the Rainbow City Launch that you can't launch a boat or fish it?
    2. If the water Levels are too low to fish it, where is a good place to dock shoot other than the Neely Henry?

I'm not sure your info is correct. It's not at historical lows. The water level is at 506.74 currently. Full pool is 508. I was at Logan Martin yesterday and it was down about a foot and half. Being over a month before you come down, who knows. I never seen neely so low that you could not launch a boat somewhere. Logan Martin wintertime level used to be 8 foot below normal pool. Never had a problem launching.

I would contact Cowboy215 on here a little closer to your date. He guides Neely and also lives there.

Thanks for the update. I'll check back a little closer to the time I'm coming down.

Next ramp up river is a lot better ramp and deeper water. I think it is a city park. It is where the railroad trestle goes across the river in Gadsden.

That looks like Rainbow Landing, Southside should have a brand new boat launch right across the water off 77 from it. I can't tell you how nice it is, but I do know that it's fairly new.

I got a lot on Nelly Henry and haven't seen it low too many times. When it was low, it's usually just a few days. Even winter, it's only 2 feet down. Might be hard at one or two ramps, but you can put in somewhere
