Yeah. I have thought about rigging something up. But haven’t. I will have something next time I go back there. If I come back and walk around a little and get feeling back in my legs it’s not as bad. But still not easy.

At an auction house I got a 5,000 ft spool of 1" green web strapping for $15. I used 1/2" PVC for a 6" handle and made a few 36" long drag straps. They help pulling my kayaks down the steep hill I like to launch from. Helps in not bending over to hold the front handle. Made another 36" strap with double loops and added carabineers to connect 2 kayaks. Here's what I copied.

At an auction house I got a 5,000 ft spool of yellow 1/4" 900 lb Paracord for $20. Added a carabineer to hook to the rear handle of the kayak. While going downhill the paracord is laid out. Back at truck, cut the cord and tie a loop to go over hitch ball. It's an asphalt parking space and drive, can get 2 wheels off of roadway without getting a ticket. Pull forward as far as I can. Remove loop from ball and back up. Add another loop to the cord over the ball and drive forward. It takes 6 trips to the kayak back up the hill. I pulled the kayak uphill with the drag strap once, this is a lot better.
Damion, glad you got your equipment back and your mom is well. Next time I suggest you call the sheriffs department and they will gladly take it as a non emergency call and go help you out so she is not waiting 2 or 3 hours. They do this all the time. Maybe get the app that allows them access into the house if the doors are locked.
We have tried to get her to get something like that. But dang she’s hard headed. She’s lives right beside my sister but they were out of town for the day.
