Default Lake Guntersville Browns Creek launch to be closed for repairs

Just got the email from the ADCNR saying the Lake Guntersville Browns Creek launch off of hwy 69 will be closed starting Sep 23rd and remain closed for approximately 3 months. Email said they are replacing the launch slab and adding or replacing a pier. This is a much needed repair imo. It used to be a 3 ramp launch but the far right one has been unusable or closed for years now and the middle launch is getting bad too. The left said ramp is the only good one to use anymore.

Glad they are finally getting it repaired! Long time coming for sure !
they said 3 months on mink creek when it was replaced but it took more like 6 maybe 7 months before it was finished but it’s nice ! Glad to see them finally stepping up and getting some of those wore out ramps replaced!
    Too blessed to be stressed!

I'd think they would be expedient since that ramp is so popular but who knows. They may tell themselves that people can easily use the one on the other end of the causeway and take their sweet time lol. That one on the east/lake side cant support both though...at least not in peak times.
