Got up yesterday morning about 12 and planned on doing some crappie and cat fishing. After I got my catfish pole setup and left the house about 130. I got to the gas station and realized I left my crappie bag at home. I had one jig pole set up with jigs. I also remembered I had an assortment of bg's in a little bag. Needless to say I did buy a pack a jigs just in case. I got to fishing about 230am. I so happen to have red thunder and kiwi already on my rod. Started catching fish off the bat. The red thunder got thundered but luckily I had another in my assortment. Fish stop biting once the sun came up and the wind started howling out the north. I didn't lose my jigs until daylight. Ended up with about 20 crappie and one channel. I guess I need to start keeping a travel pack in my vehicle for situations like this. I was Guntersville bridge caught fish 4-8ft deep. It was the beginning to chill Father's day.
