Jennings Ferry Black Warrior Area Question s

Silver Roach here, been a while since I have been on. Fishing pretty good in Alabama Delta area. It’s also good in Southeastern Mississippi.
But I need a little advice. This coming weekend is youth weekend for opening day deer hunting in which my grandson and his Dad are hunting that morning up in the area.
I am tagging along to also fill a request of his (the grandson) to go crappie fishing while there. And as always be the camp cook. My hunting days have been over taken by my life’s love of fishing.
I am going to be scouting out a few places in the early morning hours I can take him back to once they get in from the woods around lunchtime.
Was wondering if any of you guys fish the area around Jennings Ferry and advise on where I might start scouting. If you want to throw in advice on what and how to fish I will take it to speed up the process. However I am the type fisherman I don’t want GPS spots of your favorite spot I just want general areas to try to find some and possibly the general depths they are in right now there.
I have fished the area before and have one spot that produced a couple of times. Thanks for any input and if you’re in my neck of the woods on the delta I would be more than happy to try to help you get on some.
