I fished the Flint River yesterday putting in off Hobbs Island Rd. I kept a half dozen Crappie and returned several dozen that were short and a few that were larger than I like to eat. I found a few around a laydown in 9 foot of water. The rest came from shady spots along the bank with a jig and bobber. All fish were caught on a Chartreuse Bobby Garland on a 1/32oz jig head. I also caught several Bass and Catfish including a Flathead that was about 5 pounds. The water was 90 degrees and cloudy with visibility of about two feet. Little gills seemed to be everywhere.
