Well i went to bed early last night so I woke up about 1am. I tossed and turned for awhile before I got up and thought about going fishing. Still wasn't sure so I laid back down and looked at some news on my phone. I came across some information regarding some celestial happenings that was going to be taking place in a couple of hours. Five planets were aligning with moon and best time to see it was at 430am. I thought that would be nice to see, it only happens every 18-20yrs, and I wondered how the fish would react. So I went east to lake guntersville.
I got on the water about 3am, the wind was blowing hard out the north and tva was pulling water hard to the north. Fishing from the bank this presents a challenge. I first put on a 1/32, and 1/24 double rig and caught 2 fish out gate. Then i was getting bites but couldn't hook a fish. By this time it was about 415 so i went star gazing. God's handy work was nice, i took a couple pics and went back to fishing.
I tried several different weights and found the best option was 2 1/32 jigs, red head with cajun cricket body and a pink head with licorice bbg. I finally got the right angle and depth a ended up with 14 keepers. Most fish came between 8 and 10ft. The fish stop biting once the sun got over head.
I was only able to get 3 of the planets in my picture so forgive me. They say this won't happen again until 2040.
Yall be safe out there and stay hydrated.
