Default Kayak Trip Report, Aldridge Creek

I took Thursday and Friday off work and decided to try Aldridge Creek by Ditto Landing for a few hours today. Little ones were everywhere, but larger gills were few and far between. I kept 17 that were 8" or over for dinner tomorrow. I didn't find any bedding fish, but caught small ones everywhere. Best bait was a 1/64oz spinner with a 1" slider in pink and Chartreuse. I did manage two Crappie up near where the Creek comes off the river, both just short of 9". The creek was 78 degrees and muddy. Not sure if the off color was from the rain yesterday or all the Carp feeding. Fun short trip!

Nice catch Ditch! I plan to fish in the rain tomorrow. I was at the beach all last week, I told the ole lady I got to go tryem tomorrow, I’m having withdraws.... We will be in the ski boat on Smith Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. I start a new job at work Tuesday, the schedule will be 4-10’s. Should be able to get more fishing in on the weekends.

I paddled all the way past the train tracks, gills on the edges from about midway all the way back till your out of water.
