This is my final response to LS or any other technology that is legal. All things for the most part that man makes are made with good intentions. Take a simple cell phone. If we texted and drive we all know what can happen. It’s only when man takes things and abuses them. Me and my much younger boss jokes all the time about who’s going to buy the other one LS. We both love to fish but we are both tight with what we have been blessed with. Our choice as we could both have one on the front and back of our boats I am sure of it.
I think LS can be a great tool. I was talking with a friend Federal Game Warden about this. He said he doesn’t think it’s a problem and he also said based on the data taken on crappie we have absolutely no worries. However they do keep an eye on them and all fish. He said if there becomes a problem there is a solution. He said it’s called a slot limit.
So fellows enjoy fishing. If you’re fortunate enough to have LS enjoy it, if you dream about owning one keep your dreams and go with someone who has one. See if it’s truly something you want. For those who don’t want the technology then keep it simple. All is our choice and we shouldn’t deny anyone what and how they want to fish as long as it’s legal and courteous to other fisherman. I have to admit in my younger days shy of dynamite and electricity I have used whatever it takes as long as it was legal. No fun looking over your shoulder doing anything is my thoughts.
