Look what followed me home today

Some of you may remember that I spent a small fortune and hundreds of hours restoring an 1998 18’ Xpress. I love that boat and literally poured blood and sweat into it. However as I found out, it isn’t large enough to take my whole family out in. It also isn't fuel efficient enough to run all over lake Guntersville in. It's fine is I put in remotely close to where I want to fish, but running 15 miles like I did the other day puts a hurting on the 18 gallon tank.

So my wife and I were talking last week and she tells me to buy a bigger boat. It’s always smart to keep the wife happy so I got busy looking for one.

I wound up with a 2016 G3 Bay 20 DLX. I took her for a water test and brought her home. That sucker is sweet. It came with a new Gen 2 Solix SI, a Helix 10 SI, and a new Ultrex. My plan was to sell the Ultrex and buy an Ulterra to put on it but after a quick lake run after work I’m gonna have to ponder over that a while. That Ultrex is nice.

I’ll be putting my Xpress up for sale before long. I’m gonna hate to see her go.
